Channel Islands DMC-1 AudioFile Player Software
In order to access the settings of your DMC-1 AudioFile Player software, click on the gear icon in the upper right hand corner of your web browser.
TIP: Remember to press “SAVE” below each settings section to make applicable changes.
MY MUSIC:
Update: This function scans your attached local storage (USB) or your Network attached drive. “Update” will look for changes on drive.
Rescan: Selecting “rescan” will re-index your entire library.
NETWORK DRIVES:
Selecting this feature will open up a box to input your NAS information.
Alias: Choose a name that will be displayed when the NAS mounts.
NAS IP Address: Enter the IP Address of your NAS drive.
Show Advanced Options: Select this option to add more customization for NAS.
Path: Network share name or sub folder path.
File Share Type: Select “cifs” or “nfs” file share types.
Username: Enter username for your NAS drives.
Password: Enter password for your NAS drives.
FUNCTIONALITIES CONTROL:
Under this setting users can control access to certain features on the DMC-1.
Bluetooth Playback: Toggle the Bluetooth source “on or off” on the DMC-1. When on, the DMC-1 should show up in a list of available Bluetooth devices.
UPNP Renderer:
Shareport Sync: Toggle this Airplay source “on or off” on the DMC-1. When on, the DMC-1 will accept Airplay sources for playback. Example: When playing a YouTube video select your DMC-1 (or custom named player) as the Airplay destination to stream audio via wi-fi.
CD playback and Ripping: Toggle this function “on or off” to access the DMC-1 external CD ripper and player.

ALBUM ART SETTINGS:
Web Album Art: Enable retrieval of Album art from Web, if no image is found in the file folder.
Web Album Art Size: Choose the size of Album art downloaded from web: higher quality requires longer load times. Lower values may improve load times.
Reset Album Art Cache: The system caches your albumart to improve performance, but this prevents newly added albumart from being shown. By resetting the cache you will be able to see newly added albumart.
TIP: to add album artwork to an album select image and name it “albumart.jpg” all lower case. Place “albumart.jpg” in album folder with tracks. Then select “Update” under My Music.
MUSIC LIBRARY SETTINGS:
Show Track Numbers: Prepend track numbers to tracks title
Compilation Metadata Field: Configure the metadata fields used to describe albumartist in compilations or ‘multiple artist’ albums, use comma separated fields
Sort Artist By: Choose the metadata used to sort artists
SOURCES VISABILITY: Choose what sources to display on the CI AudioFiler Player homepage. Toggle “on or off” from the list of available sources. These will appear or be removed from the home page screen of the AudioFile player software webpage.
PLAYBACK OPTIONS:
Select this setting from the gear drop down menu in the upper left corner of your browser screen. This will grant access to the audio output, general playback options, and audio resampling or upsampling.
Audio Output: This drop down menu allows you to select the Audio Output Device from the ones available in your system. “Analog Audio” will be selected when using the DMC-1 built-in DAC. If you have a connected/compatible USB audio device, it will show up in this drop down menu.
General Playback Options: Access to general audio features
Volume Normalization: If turned On AudioFile player will normalize the volume of tracks as they play. This might reduce sound quality.
Audio Buffer Size: This specifies the size of the audio buffer. Increase it to avoid chances of audio stuttering over Network.
Buffer Before Play: This specifies how much of the audio buffer should be filled before playing a track. Try increasing this if you hear skipping when manually changing songs.
Persistent Queue: If enabled the Play Queue will be retained post reboot, if disabled the play queue will be cleared at every system start.
Playback Mode: You can select the playback Behavior: Continuous will add to your current queue all the songs in an album or a playlist, single will only add to queue the song you selected to play
TIP: Select “Single” playback mode in order to add to your playlist song by song.
Audio Resampling: Toggle “On” to grant access to software based upsampling.
Target Bit Depth: a drop down menu gives options; Native, 16, 24, or 32 bit depth.
Target Sample Rate: a drop down menu gives options; Native 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4, 192, 352.8, 384, 768 KHz.
